My name is Katherine Reed. I am the owner and lead “imagineer” at Elegant Events & More in Birmingham, Alabama. I discovered my passion for events when I was in the midst of planning my own wedding over 14 years ago!
During the process of planning and executing my own wedding, I had a reality check! I was a little crazy for taking on the task of planning, decorating and overall executing my own wedding, along with my mother at the tender age of 18! (Really Crazy Right!) So keeping my personal experience in mind, I decided to birth my business- in order to alleviate as much stress as possible for other brides and hosts of events. Regardless of the size of your wedding or special event, there is no need for you to be stressed out on your special day.
My ultimate goal as your planner and event designer is to implement the strategies that I have learned within the last 14 years, to make your planning process as stress-free as possible. I am a huge believer in high quality customer service, so I put my effective listening skills, communication skills, organizational skills, time management & resolution skills to use to make your event memorable, for all the right reasons!
When I’m not coordinating and designing special events, you will find me cuddling up with my wonderful, supportive husband, Philip and our fur babies, Bailey and Rockii. In addition you may find me enjoying podcasts, or binge watching a Netflix or Amazon Prime series.
Just a few fun facts about me: My favorite color is green! “It makes me think of life and growth”. In addition, I love to dance, travel and make all things pretty! Thanks for visiting!
